Hi Mark. We do watch Dancing with the Stars and we saw the show last night, May 5. You get about 5 minutes in the limelight, don't you, but it would be fascinating to be on the scene of that show. I hope you got to see much of it in person. The dancers are quite incredible. I'd never heard of Jamie Cullum before, so it was interesting to see you-all in action. My piano teachers would not have approved of stepping on the keyboard, but the high jump off the piano was right in tune with the event. It would be interesting to know if this year's Dancing show has now brought the Country crowd and the Hip Hop crowd into the world of ballroom dancing. Who would have thought that would happen? Nice to see you doing well, Mark. Best wishes. . . Jim & Karen

Hey Mark, I saw you perform with Peter Cincotti in Birmingham, AL back in November. I LOVED your drum solo! It was phenomenal evidence that you are the best drummer in the world! The four of you in Peter's band are so special, and the extraordinary music you collectively and individually output is more than a testament to it. I also happened to catch you guys when you were opening for Ray Charles (a re-broadcast on T.V.) at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2003. Every song is so captivating, especially the collaboration in "Sway". During that song, each one of you guys seemed to be in your own little world, but at the same time, you were each so "in tune" with the music that it blowed my mind. Thank you to all four of you for giving me my motto: "Always be swayingly Cincottic."

Too bad I couldn't ask you more about it at Sunami... I'm glad I came across this site! You have a sweet collection of memories here that I'm certain you look back upon with affection and humor. You've taken much more flattering pictures of Barak than the photographer for Peter's site! ;) Anyway, thank you for sharing what you love to do with the rest of us... We consider ourselves lucky.

Hi Mark. Your performance at the Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley was amazing. I came to see Peter Cincotti, who was wonderful, but I felt that you stole the show. Your energy was great and honestly, I did not know about you until the performance on April 30. Your drumming style, energy, and even your facial expressions while playing was breathtaking. Your enthusiasm and passion just reached out to the audience, and especially to me. I sat in the 4th row and I cheered for you during your solo performance in Sway. The whole band had great chemistry. Also, your work with Molly Johnson is beautiful. By the way, you are quite a handsome man. All the best, Jennifer.

I told my 4 year old son (who loves to imiitate mr. cincotti on his toy piano), that i was able to talk to you, and that you were as kind as you are talented, and that your mommy must be very proud of her son. thank you again- and my best wishes to you and mr. cincotti, and the band. good luck and god bless through your wonderful adventures that lie ahead of you! tina cosgrove

This is a slick site for a slick drumstick-wielder. Mark makes percussion poetic. From ticklin the snare to bangin the bass, his command of the set draws the jazzified as the piper drew the children (and the mice). One ought not miss this prodigy of percussion. Perspire on, Mista McLean, perspire on. http://members.rogers.com/outwrites

Mark, thanks for e-mailing me. Just imagine how many cats said they would e-mail me their number and never do. Wow, you actually did! You sounded very nice and sharp here in Cleveland with Andy. Hope we get to play together. God Bless Lance B.
